What delicious seafood are there in Da Nang, Vietnam? Is it expensive?

Vietnam has a long coastline of 3260 kilometers, excluding islands. Rich in products, especially seafood products, a wide variety and fresh. Vietnamese people have a light diet. They eat seafood and rice in their daily lives, and most of them are slim. When you arrive in Da Nang, Vietnam, of course, you have to see what the local seafood has.

After a round, I found that Da Nang's seafood products are really famous, lobster, king crab, geoduck, these are only found in our domestic inland city restaurants. In Da Nang, seafood is generally Food stalls and seafood markets abound. It is just that the seafood prices of several top online red seafood restaurants in Da Nang are not cheap. On the contrary, seafood prices at street food stalls or seafood stores or night markets are more affordable. Take several types of seafood commonly found in Danang.

Lobster is not cheap in Da Nang, but it is relatively fresh. But frozen lobsters are cheaper. At the SON TAR night market in Da Nang, larger lobsters cost 500K Vietnamese dong, and smaller ones cost 120K Vietnamese dong. The back of such frozen crayfish is generally blue. This lobster is a small green dragon, because it is cheap, it is very popular with foreign tourists.

King crabs in Da Nang are very large. Some king crabs have crab legs that look 1 meter long. These king crabs are ridiculously crawling in the water, with long crab legs dancing like the paws of a big crane. The oversized king crab sells about 1700K VND for 1 kilo in a seafood stall in Danang. Slightly more expensive than lobster.

Geoducks are also called emperor clams and goddess clams. They are named after elephant noses and are large clams. Its scientific name is Pacific submerged mud clam, which is a very long-lived shellfish with a life span of over 100 years.

The geoduck in Da Nang Seafood Store is very large, thick and stout, and some of them are beyond my expectation. Although it is known that the world's largest elephant trunk mussel has a length of more than 1 meter after the "nose" is extended, it retracts. It doesn't feel that big in the future. I deliberately made a gesture with my elbow, and some even longer than my arm! The price is 1000K VND for 1 kg.

The abalones in Danang are also relatively large, and some are the same size as fists. The price is about 1400K VND 1 kg.

Deep-sea barracuda and stone crab are also very common in seafood shops in Da Nang. The price is relatively close to the people. The price of stone crab is about 150K VND and 1 kg.

Conch is about 100K VND and 1kg at the seafood market.

Palms (shrimp) with palms are usually sold at a night market. One 20,000 VND. Living bamboo shrimp is more expensive.

In Hanjiang Market, the seafood at the stalls is cheaper. At night, there will be some seafood stalls on the street outside the market. We see that some locals sell fresh fish, shrimp and shellfish on the stall. Some large fish are sold cut in pieces, and some are sold whole, with different varieties and slightly different prices, ranging from 50 kilograms to 80 kilograms. A lot cheaper than a big hotel. The people who buy seafood here are usually locals.

There are many seafood specialty shops in Da Nang. There is one near the hotel where we live, near My Khe Beach. The seafood inside is not only fresh but also cheaper than in the restaurant.

After understanding, it is found that the income of Da Nang people in Vietnam is not high, but the local seafood products are not cheap. This may be a tourist city with Da Nang. There are many foreign tourists, especially South Korea and Japan. The consumption level is relatively high. Highly related.

Of course, the price of seafood is also constrained by economic laws, and any value depressions will soon be filled. In the past, lobster from Da Nang in Vietnam was cheap. Everyone went to Da Nang to eat lobster, and soon the price was up.

I think that in Da Nang, it would be better to eat seafood at the stalls frequented by locals. There are a lot of seafood stalls near the beach near Meixi Beach. In the evening, it will be very lively. There are many family members. There is no Chinese-speaking clerk at the door to welcome guests. Just go in and eat. The general price will be more reasonable, at least more affordable than those online red shops. Or go to SON TRA night market to eat seafood, which is also very affordable, but the dining environment is not as good as seafood stalls. If you want to learn more about the life of the locals, you can eat at the night market once.
